Alex Lerman

Alex Lerman is an experienced data scientist currently serving as an Associate Data Scientist at CNA Corporation since June 2023. Previous experience includes a Data Scientist Intern position at Allianz, where Alex implemented a machine learning model in Python to detect fraudulent withdrawals, significantly enhancing fraud detection processes. At Pacific Life, Alex held two internships; one focused on sales insights, developing time series models using RStudio, and the other on valuation, conducting exploratory analysis on mortality data. Alex also interned at NASA, where a Python script was created to extract critical data from automated messages, improving system validation efficiency. Academic qualifications include a Master's degree in Applied Statistics from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor's degree in Statistics from California State University, Long Beach.
