Orly Amsalem

Orly Amsalem is an experienced professional with a diverse background in strategy, business development, and product management.

Currently, Orly serves as the Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) at cnvrg.io (An Intel Company), where they lead strategy and execution of cnvrg.io AI solutions and cloud vision. Orly collaborates with enterprise cloud leaders to shape the future of cloud solutions for Intel.

Prior to joining cnvrg.io (An Intel Company), Orly held multiple roles at cnvrg.io itself. As the CSO, they played a crucial role in developing and implementing strategic initiatives. Additionally, they served as the VP of AI Innovation & Business Development, where they focused on driving innovation and business growth in the AI field.

Orly has also contributed their expertise as a Contributor to The AI Journal, sharing insights and knowledge in the field of Artificial Intelligence.

Before joining cnvrg.io, Orly worked at Synamedia as the Principal Business Development Manager, Video Anti-Piracy and later as the Senior Product Manager, Biz dev, Video security and anti-piracy AI/ML based applications. In these roles, they were responsible for developing and managing anti-piracy solutions using AI/ML technologies.

Orly's previous experience includes working at Cisco as a Senior Product Manager, where they focused on AI/ML products. Orly also led the Big Data & Data Science Products Team at Cisco, demonstrating their strong leadership skills.

Prior to their time at Cisco, Orly worked at Correlor Technologies as the Data Analytics and BI Manager. In this role, they managed various data aspects of the company, architected BI and big data solutions for customers, and led a team working on deploying real-time big-data recommendation systems.

Orly's earlier experience includes working at Opisoft as a Business Intelligence Specialist in the banking sector. Their responsibilities included designing infrastructure for Data Warehousing (DWH), creating dimensional models, and designing ETL processes from multiple sources.

Orly Amsalem is currently pursuing an M.Sc degree at Ben-Gurion University of the Negev, specializing in Data Science, Machine Learning, and Cyber Security. Their thesis is still pending. Orly has also taken advanced computer vision and data mining courses at Open University Israel at the M.Sc level.
