Rui Pedro Gonçalves Lopes

Rui Pedro Gonçalves Lopes is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in material science, engineering, and entrepreneurship. As the Co-Founder of CO2offset.ai since September 2021 and Forging Lab from April 2018 to January 2021, Rui has demonstrated a strong commitment to innovative solutions in sustainability. Previously, Rui served as a Research & Development Consultant at Calcitec from 2010 to January 2020, focusing on the recycling of polyurethane materials. Other notable positions include Optics and Physics Engineer at LusoSpace Lda and Research Scientist at the National Physical Laboratory, where Rui contributed to the characterization of Multiferroic materials. Educational qualifications include a Doctor of Philosophy in Material Science from the University of Leeds and a Master's and Bachelor's degree in Engineering Physics from Universidade de Aveiro.
