Chris Roy

Chris Roy has extensive experience in the accommodation and hospitality sectors, currently serving in a pivotal role at Aurora on George, Dunedin's only 4+ star motel, since April 2016. As a co-owner of Cobb & Co., one of the limited Cobb restaurants in the South Island, Chris played a key role in a redevelopment project that earned a prestigious Gold Award from the Master Builders Association in 2018. Previous ventures include ownership positions at 538 Great King Motel and 315 Euro Motel, where Chris successfully enhanced performance and occupancy rates. An educational background includes a Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Laws from the University of Otago, complemented by a teaching career at notable institutions such as Otago Girls High School and Taieri High School before transitioning to the hospitality industry.
