Pramod Gopinath

Pramod Gopinath currently serves as an Executive Council Member of the Optical Society of India and as an Executive Committee Member of the Plasma Science Society of India, both since April 2024. In addition, Pramod Gopinath has held the position of Chair of the IEEE Photonics Society Kerala Chapter since January 2023. As a Professor of Photonics at the Cochin University of Science and Technology, Pramod Gopinath has also contributed as the Hon. Assistant Director of the Centre for Science in Society since March 2016. Previous roles include Professor and Director at the International School of Photonics from July 2019 to July 2022, Assistant Professor at the Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology from May 2011 to March 2016, and Reader at the same institution from September 2007 to April 2011. The earlier part of Pramod Gopinath's career includes faculty positions at CELOS Cochin University of Science and Technology, Sacred Heart College Thevara, and the International School of Photonics. Pramod Gopinath earned a Ph.D. in Photonics from the Cochin University of Science and Technology.
