Yoonchang Han

Yoonchang Han is the Co-founder and CEO of Cochl, a deep-tech startup established in February 2017 that specializes in machine listening technology, providing a pre-trained foundation model for sound AI through API/SDK. Prior to this role, Yoonchang Han completed a PhD at Seoul National University from September 2011 to February 2017, focusing on deep learning, music information retrieval, and acoustic scene/event detection. Previous experience includes research internships at Samsung Electronics and Reality Jockey, Ltd., as well as project-based internships at Denon UK and LG Electronics. Yoonchang Han holds a first-class MEng degree in Digital Audio and Music System Engineering from Queen Mary University of London and has a background in music and audio research from King's College London and the University of Reading.
