Senior Security Engineer at Codasip

Maja Malenko has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations.

From 2023, they have been working as a Security Engineer at Codasip.

Prior to that, they worked from 2021 to 2023 as a Hardware Researcher at HENSOLDT Cyber GmbH.

From 2016 to 2021, they worked as a Project Assistant at Graz University of Technology. In this role, they were involved in the Dependable IoT project and focused on developing memory isolation techniques for embedded systems. Maja has a strong understanding of real-time operating system (RTOS) concepts and expertise in RISC-V and Arm architecture.

In 2019, they worked as a Guest Researcher at Seoul National University, collaborating with the SNU Security, HW, SW, and AI Research Group.

From 2011 to 2016, they worked as a Teaching and Research Assistant at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies - Skopje. In this role, they were involved in implementing an AES cryptographic core in VHDL and integrating it in a LEON3 processor system. Maja also participated in an ERC funded project and taught various courses related to programming, algorithms, logical circuits, embedded computing systems, and networking.

Maja Malenko's education history includes a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Informatics and Computer Engineering from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies in Skopje, N. Macedonia. Maja completed this degree from 2005 to 2009.

Following their bachelor's degree, Maja pursued a Master of Science (MSc) degree in Computer Networks and E-Technologies from the Faculty of Electrical Engineering and Information Technologies, Skopje. Maja completed their master's degree from 2009 to 2012.

Continuing their education, Maja is currently in the process of obtaining a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree at Technische Universität Graz. Their field of study is Embedded Hardware/Software Co-Design and Dependable Internet of Things. Maja is expected to complete their PhD from 2016 to 2023.

In addition to their formal education, Maja has obtained several certifications to enhance their knowledge and skills. These include the Arm Cortex-M Architecture and Software Development Specialization from Coursera, Introduction to Embedded Machine Learning from Coursera, Physical Design Flow from VLSI System Design, Advanced Physical Design using OpenLane/SKY130 from VLSI System Design, and Hardware Security from the University of Maryland. Maja also completed the Introduction to Applied Cryptography Specialization from the University of Colorado, Introduction to Scripting in Python Specialization from Rice University, Software Security from the University of Maryland, Microcontroller and Embedded Driver Development from Udemy, and ARM Cortex-M Bare-Metal Programming from Udemy.

The obtained certifications range from 2018 to 2023, indicating Maja's commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of embedded systems and related areas.
