Michael Merchant

Michael Merchant is currently the CEO at Codazen, but they have a long and impressive history in the tech industry. Michael started their career as a Research Lab Technician and Programmer for Southern California Edison in 1997. There, they developed systems for electric vehicle research and wrote test scripts in C for programmable test equipment. In 2000, they left Southern California Edison to join Kaiser Permanente as a Technical Project Manager and Software Engineer.

At Kaiser Permanente, Michael managed a team of software engineers to build custom web-based applications with a significant return on investment. These applications included an electronic medical record support system, a clinical content management system, formulary management, Medicare Part D / CMS reporting, drug cost forecasting, electronic drug contracts, rebate processing, supply chain issue resolution, drug utilization management tools, and more. Michael was with Kaiser Permanente until 2007 when they left to become the CEO of Codazen.

Michael Merchant attended Los Altos High School and then California State Polytechnic University-Pomona, where they studied computer science.
