Paula Carpenter, MBA, PMP has over 28 years of professional experience in the Life Sciences industry. Paula began their career in 1992 as a Process Engineer at USG. In 1994, they moved to Ortho-McNeil Pharmaceutical as a Manufacturing Engineer/Process Engineer, where they provided engineering support to multiple manufacturing sites located in New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, and Switzerland. In 1997, they joined Ortho Biotech as a Senior Engineer, where they were responsible for engineering projects ranging from packaging line updates to multimillion-dollar facility expansions. In 2000, they became an Associate Director, Manufacturing at Orchid BioSciences, where they managed the production of biochemical reagent kits, including microarray plates. In 2012, Carpenter co-founded Clever Armadillo LLC, where they created software for both businesses and individuals. In 2015, they joined The FlexPro Group as a Senior Project Manager, where they developed and managed the project plan for Quality Control to prepare for an upcoming BLA filing for a specialty gene therapy. Currently, they are the Director, CMC Project Management at Code BioTherapeutics, a position they have held since 2022.
Paula Carpenter, MBA, PMP obtained a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Lehigh University between 1988 and 1992. Paula then earned a Master of Business Administration from Rutgers University between 1994 and 1998. In 2017, they obtained a Project Management Professional certification from the Project Management Institute.
