Russell Hoy

Russell Hoy is an experienced software developer and entrepreneur, currently serving as the Software Developer Chapter Lead at Code for Canada since August 2023, where support is provided to build digital capacity in the public and non-profit sectors. As the Founder, Designer, and Developer of My Storybook, Russell has created a platform that empowers students to write, illustrate, and publish their own storybooks, resulting in a community of authors who have collectively produced over 1 million storybooks. Previous roles include developer positions at RBC and multiple tenures at Rangle.io, as well as experience as a Solutions Architect and Digital Marketing Specialist in various organizations. Russell holds an Honors Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Philosophy from the University of Toronto and has pursued additional education at Bitmaker Labs.
