Marty Creel

Martin Creel is an accomplished education leader with extensive experience in curriculum development and academic consulting. In the current role as TeachAI Content Lead at Code.org, Martin is responsible for content development related to the global AI Literacy Framework and the evolving landscape of computer science education. Previously, Martin held various senior positions at Discovery Education from 2015 to 2024, including Executive Director, SVP of Global Academic Consulting, and Chief Academic Officer, where significant contributions were made to expand educational services and impact millions of students globally. Prior to that, Martin served in multiple educational roles at Montgomery County Public Schools from 1989 to 2015, culminating as Director of Curriculum and Instruction. Martin holds a Bachelor's degree in History and Education from the University of Maryland and furthered education at The Johns Hopkins University.
