Thomas Rinsma has a diverse work experience in the field of security analysis. Thomas currently holds the position of Lead Security Analyst at Codean since February 2022. Before joining Codean, Thomas worked at Riscure for six years. During their time at Riscure, they served as a Senior Security Analyst from May 2020 to February 2022 and as a Security Analyst from 2017 to May 2020. Thomas initially started their career at Riscure as an intern in November 2016. Prior to their work in the private sector, Thomas worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Groningen from 2013 to 2015.
Thomas Rinsma has a strong educational background in the field of computer science. Thomas first pursued a bachelor's degree in Computing Science at the University of Groningen from 2011 to 2015. After completing their bachelor's degree, they went on to pursue two master's degrees simultaneously. Thomas attended Radboud University from 2015 to 2017, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computing Science. During the same period, they also attended Eindhoven University of Technology, where they obtained a Master of Science (MSc) in Computer Science and Engineering.
In addition to their academic achievements, Thomas Rinsma has also obtained several certifications. In 2013, they acquired the certification for Programming in C/C++ from dr. Frank B. Brokken at the University of Groningen. In 2016, they obtained the Hacklab Malware Analysis certification from Deloitte Nederland. Thomas'scertifications continued with the Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP) certification from Offensive Security in 2018. Lastly, in 2020, they obtained the Open Negotiation certification from Frits Philips jr & Partners (FP&P).
