Chris Nicol is an experienced electrical and firmware engineer with a strong background in developing collaborative solutions for educational technology. Since July 2010, Chris has been part of SMART Technologies, focusing on hardware development for DViT interactive whiteboards and educational devices. Prior experience includes roles as an electronics contractor at Science Alberta Foundation, where Chris designed and repaired educational devices, and as an electronics engineer at Grindcom, where circuit design and software development for forestry control systems were key responsibilities. Additionally, Chris served as a teaching assistant at the University of Calgary, supporting student labs and assessments. Chris holds a Master of Science in Electrical Engineering from the University of Calgary and a Bachelor of Technology in Electronics Engineering from DeVry Institute of Technology.
