Cody Sutherlin

Cody Sutherlin joined Coeur in September 2019 as the VP of U.S. Operations. Prior to joining Coeur, Mr. Sutherlin served as the General Manager of Operations for Newmont Goldcorp in Nevada and prior to that worked for Rio Tinto for 10 years. Mr. Sutherlin has a rich background in mining that includes technical, managerial and operational roles. Mr. Sutherlin has over 13 years of mining experience with an emphasis on operational management, mine technical services, business improvement and operational safety. Mr. Sutherlin has a vast knowledge of large and small open pit mines and has valuable experience developing and implementing fatal risk reduction programs across multiple operations. Mr. Sutherlin holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mining Engineering from Montana School of Mines and Engineering.
