Brandon Adkins

Brandon Adkins has worked as a Threat Analyst at COFENSE since May 2022. In this role, they monitor systems for customer reported emails, analyzes phishing campaigns and threats, gathers intelligence information from analyzed malware, assesses reported emails for potential threats, identifies malicious threats and provides guidance on mitigation. Brandon also initiates threat analysis tickets, maintains ownership of customer tickets, writes rules and signatures for data sharing, leverages malware analysis platforms, assists in producing customer reports, and identifies process improvements. Prior to this, Brandon worked as a Computer Support Specialist at UAB Medicine from November 2019 to November 2021. In this role, they provided second-tier end-user support for Windows and Mac workstations, moved and deployed computers as directed, provided solutions to end-user computer and networking problems, performed restorative and maintenance actions, and responded to situations where standard procedures failed.

Brandon Adkins completed their Advanced Academic Diploma in 2016 from Oneonta High School. Brandon then attended the University of Alabama at Birmingham from 2017 to 2022, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Digital Forensics.
