Kathryn George has a diverse work experience in the field of cybersecurity and digital forensics. Kathryn has worked as a Threat Analyst at COFENSE, where they monitored and analyzed customer-reported emails, identified threats, and extracted IOCs for customers. Prior to that, Kathryn worked as a Malware Analyst at the UAB Computer Forensics Research Lab, where they analyzed malware samples, debugged malicious code, and wrote reports on threats targeting client infrastructure. Kathryn also gained experience as an Intelligence Intern at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, where they analyzed online advertisements for patterns indicating human trafficking and utilized open-source intelligence to assist agents in their investigations. Additionally, they served as a Cybercrime Analyst at the UAB Computer Forensics Research Lab, specializing in understanding various forms of online crimes and removing illicit content from Facebook.
