Carrie Baarns

Carrie Baarns is a seasoned professional in the publishing industry, currently serving as Senior Manager of Revisions and Author Care at Cognella since March 2016. In this role, Carrie has successfully signed over 300 projects, enhancing the approach to new edition development while managing the Author Care team, an intern program, author satisfaction surveys, and the Cognella Cares Student Scholarship program. Prior to Cognella, Carrie held various positions at SAGE Publications, including Senior Editorial Assistant, where responsibilities included author care from proposal through publication and training new team members. Educational background includes a degree in English from California Lutheran University and additional studies at the University of California, Berkeley.
