Eric Nyberg is a professor at Carnegie Mellon University's School of Computer Science since 1993. Prior to their current position, Eric worked as a Member of Technical Staff at GTE/Verizon from 1983 to 1986. During their time at GTE/Verizon, Eric was part of the Knowledge Based Systems group and focused on developing natural language processing components for various applications, including a natural language interface for querying telecom customer databases. Eric Nyberg earned their Ph.D. in Computational Linguistics from Carnegie Mellon University in 1992.
