Bert Verstraete

Bert Verstraete started their work experience in 2018 as a Software Engineering Intern at Teamleader CRM. Bert then worked as an Assistant Teacher at CodeFever for the rest of the year. In 2019, they joined DoubleVerify as a Software Engineering Intern, where they contributed to building a video advertisement delivery acceleration application. Since 2022, Bert has been working at Cognite, first as a Software Engineer I and currently as a Software Engineer II. In their current role, they are responsible for building an internal tool for efficient and reliable orchestration of microservices. Bert has also worked on a monitoring team and a charting team, where they helped manufacturing and O&G workers troubleshoot operational issues and implemented transformations on timeseries data.

Bert Verstraete completed a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Applied Informatics - Systems & Software Engineer from HOWEST - Hogeschool West-Vlaanderen in 2019. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science degree in Information Engineering Technology from Ghent University, which they completed in 2022. In terms of additional certifications, Bert obtained the Business Computing Associate certification from COMMON A Users Group in October 2018. Furthermore, they completed the Working with CDF Basics Completion Certificate from Cognite in February 2022 and obtained the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification from Microsoft in May 2023.
