Gaetan Helness has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Gaetan currently works at Cognite as the Head of Data Engineering, a role they started in September 2022. In 2005, they began their studies at Lycee Montaigne, where they completed a two-year intensive preparatory class with a focus on sciences. This was followed by their enrollment in ENSEA from 2007 to 2009, where they obtained an Engineer's degree in Information Technology.

In 2009, Gaetan attended Imperial College London, where they pursued a Master of Science degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering. Gaetan completed this program in 2010, further expanding their knowledge in the field.

In addition to their formal education, Gaetan Helness obtained multiple certifications that enhanced their professional skill set. In 2012, they became ITIL v3 Foundation certified through EXIN. Two years later, in 2014, they acquired the PRINCE2 Registered Practitioner certification from APMG-International.

Continuing their commitment to professional development, Gaetan achieved the Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals certification in 2020, demonstrating their proficiency in the Azure cloud platform. Most recently, in February 2021, they obtained the People Management Certification from edX, emphasizing their competence in managing people effectively.
