Kari Ranes

Kari Ranes has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries and positions. Starting in 1993, they worked as a Senior/Consultant at Andersen Consulting (now Accenture) for four years. Kari then joined Telenor in 1997, where they worked in various roles including Senior Advisor and Director Business Consulting. At Telenor, Ranes focused on product development processes, business strategy and analysis, project management, and team and people management. In 2000, they joined Infocom Group AS as a Senior Advisor, working on telecom and media/broadcast projects, specializing in business support systems. Ranes returned to Telenor in 2006 as the Director and Head of IS Projects at Telenor Broadcast. Kari'sresponsibilities included managing the overall IS project portfolio and leading projects ranging from small to large and complex ones. In 2010, they briefly worked as a Business Development Project Manager for Uninor in India. Kari then moved to Telenor Digital, where they held multiple positions, including VP and head of Solution Engineering, VP Digital Global Services Asia, and SVP and Head of Global Platforms. In these roles, Ranes was responsible for developing digital global services, managing teams of software developers and product managers, and establishing a local team in Asia. Currently, Ranes serves as the VP of Operations at Cognite AS, contributing to the company's growth and engaging with customers and partners globally to enable digital transformation with industrial DataOps.

Kari Ranes has a diverse education history. Kari obtained a Master of Management, Executive Programmes (part-time studies) from BI Norwegian Business School from 1999 to 2001. Kari also earned a Master of Business and Economics degree from the same institution between 1991 and 1993. Prior to that, they completed a Bachelor of Business and Economics at Trondheim Økonomiske Høgskole in Norway from 1989 to 1991.

In addition to their formal education, Kari Ranes has also pursued various certifications to further enhance their knowledge and skills. Kari completed the Stanford Executive Education - The Innovative Technology Leader Program at Stanford University Graduate School of Business in 2018. In 2016, they undertook the INSEAD Telenor Strategy Execution Online Programme offered by INSEAD Executive Education. And, in 2011, they obtained the Scrum Product Owner certification from ProgramUtvikling AS, which was conducted by Mike Cohn.
