Joshua Bird, MS, CMI, is a highly experienced medical illustrator and animator with a career spanning over a decade. Currently serving as the Lead Certified Medical Animator and Illustrator at Cognition Studio Inc since October 2020, Joshua previously held positions as a Senior Medical Animator and Illustrator and operated a personal studio, Joshua C. Bird Medical Illustration & Animation, since August 2009. Joshua's work emphasizes scientific accuracy and artistic beauty, creating visual solutions for healthcare professionals and patient education. Past roles include medical animator positions at 3FX, Inc. and Nucleus Medical Media, and serving as a Senior Motion Graphics Designer at SANS Institute. Joshua has also contributed to academia as an adjunct instructor at the University of Illinois at Chicago and has a strong educational background with a Master's degree in Medical Illustration from the Medical College of Georgia at Augusta University and a Bachelor’s degree from Iowa State University.
