Evan Hempel

Evan Hempel has extensive experience in the field of clinical research and project management. Evan is currently serving as the Director of Clinical Affairs at Cognito Therapeutics, Inc., a position they have held since October 2018. Before that, they worked as the Associate Director of Clinical Affairs at the same company from January 2018 to September 2018. Prior to joining Cognito Therapeutics, Hempel worked as a Senior Clinical Trial Manager at Summit Therapeutics plc from April 2015 to January 2018. Evan also gained significant experience as a Clinical Research Project Manager at KAI Research, Inc. from March 2008 to April 2015. Additionally, they worked as the Development Director at Different Avenues from 2007 to 2010. Hempel began their career as a Clinical Research Coordinator at the Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in the Department of Head and Neck Oncology, where they managed multiple patients and trials from 2004 to 2007.

From 1999 to 2003, Evan Hempel attended Oberlin College, where they pursued their undergraduate studies. Evan obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree, majoring in Neuroscience, Biology, and Premedical Studies.
