Clinical Research EEG Technician at Cognito Therapeutics

Jasmine Balsalobre has a diverse work experience starting in 2018 as a Manufacturing Intern at I-CON Systems Inc. Jasmine operated machinery to manufacture plumbing components and learned how to read and create technical engineering drawings. In 2019, they joined the University of Central Florida as an Undergraduate Research Assistant in the FaST Lab, where they assisted a Ph.D. student. Jasmine also participated in the Biodesign Program in Rehabilitation Engineering before becoming a Graduate Research Assistant at the UCF BRaIN Lab in 2020. During their graduate career, they focused on learning about EEG and biomechanics independently and through virtual conferences. Jasmine is currently working as a Clinical Research EEG Technician at Cognito Therapeutics, Inc.

Jasmine Balsalobre completed their Master's degree in Bioengineering and Biomedical Engineering from the University of Central Florida from 2020 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned their Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the same university from 2016 to 2020.

In addition to their academic degrees, Jasmine has obtained several certifications. In November 2019, they became a Certified SolidWorks Associate from DS SolidWorks Corporation. In January 2023, they received certifications in various areas including Researchers - Information Privacy and Security (IPS), Conflicts of Interest, Biomedical (Biomed) Comprehensive, Biomedical Responsible Conduct of Research, and GCP for Clinical Trials with Investigational Drugs and Medical Devices (U.S. FDA Focus) from the CITI Program.
