Ben Grafton has held various roles in the field of software engineering and technology management. Ben started their career at Etensity in 1999 as a Senior Developer and Database Architect. Ben then worked at Leopard as a Senior Developer in 2002 and later joined Interlink as a Senior Consultant from 2003 to 2005. In 2002, they joined Denver Health and served as a Senior C#/ ASP.NET/ SQL Server Developer/Architect until 2007. During this time, they redesigned and rebuilt Denver Health's public-facing website and designed and built an electronic pediatric growth chart. Ben also designed and built an online physician on-call schedule, optimizing processes and eliminating the need for paper schedules. From 2003 to 2007, they also worked at Denver Health Medical Center as a Senior Architect. In 2007, they became the Director of Information Technology at RedSail Media, where they supervised a technical team and oversaw the technical direction of the company. Ben planned and implemented the migration of the core business platform and re-architected the core database. In 2008, they joined The Reed Group as a Senior Software Architect, where they contributed until 2012. In 2012, they became a Principal Architect at Troppus Software Corporation for a year. Since 2014, they have been working at Cognosante as a Vice President of Core and Cloud Engineering, and later as the Vice President of Cloud Engineering.
Ben Grafton graduated from William & Mary in 1998 with a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree, majoring in Marketing and Psychology. In 2023, they obtained two additional certifications: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate from Amazon Web Services (AWS) and FOCP: FinOps Certified Practitioner from The Linux Foundation.
