Neil Lott has a long and varied work experience. Neil began their career as an Associate Applications Software Engineer at Lockheed Martin Mission Systems in 2000. Neil then worked as a Software Developer at nCUBE in the same year. In 2002, they moved to N2Broadband as a Software Developer, where they provided Set-Top Box Clients with encryption capabilities when viewing VOD content. In 2006, they became a Senior Software Developer at Snowy Range Consulting Inc, where they were responsible for design, implementation, test, and maintenance of several Java applications that provide enhanced functionality for cable television headend. In 2008, they moved to Time Warner Cable Inc as a Senior Software Engineer, where they developed a scalable, Rest-based cloud-service that provides dynamic menus -- based on curated and personalized content -- across the entire cable footprint. In 2016, they moved to Charter Communications as a Senior Software Engineer. In 2017, they became the Chief Technology Officer at Environment Celebration Institute. In 2018, they moved to Sophist Solutions as a Senior Software Developer, where they developed an AWS integrated Microservice architecture event-based replay application using Kinesis, KCL libraries, Spring Boot, DynamoDB, Athena, Lambda Functions and S3. In 2022, they moved to Cognosos, Inc. as a Senior Software Engineer, where they are developing new backend microservices written in Golang and deployed in an AWS Containerized Kubernetes Cluster via a Jenkins Pipeline that support the RTLS infrastructure by automating device firmware and profile versions as one example, as well as adding feature enhancements the existing backend platform written in Groovy/Grails.
Neil Lott obtained their High School Diploma from The Lawrenceville School in 1995. Neil then earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Central Florida in 2000. In 2007, they attended No Fluff Just Stuff, and in 2008, they attended Pragmatic Studio for Ruby on Rails. In 2010, they attended Lucid Imagination for Developing Search Applications with Solr, and in 2011, they attended Lucid Imagination for Scaling Search with Big Data and Solr. In 2012, they attended Uber Conf in Denver.
