James Giallanza has held various leadership roles in the financial services industry. James most recently worked at Cohen & Steers as the Executive Vice President, Head of Investment Administration, and President/CEO of Cohen & Steers Funds. In this role, they were responsible for overseeing registered mutual funds, alternative fund oversight, institutional separate account oversight, and investment operations. James successfully implemented various systems and automated reporting processes.
Prior to their role at Cohen & Steers, Giallanza worked at Legg Mason Asset Management as the Deputy Head of U.S. Funds Administration and Treasurer/CFO of Registered Mutual Funds. James had primary oversight of fund accounting and pricing activities for a large number of funds.
Before that, they held positions at UBS Global Asset Management as the Director and Controller - Finance, and at SSB Citi Asset Management as a Director. James'sresponsibilities included financial accounting, reporting, and tax functions related to various investment products.
Giallanza also worked at Lazard Asset Management as the Vice President, CFO/Treasurer of Registered Mutual Funds. In this role, they managed overall operations, budgeting, and compliance for the Lazard Funds and proprietary hedge funds.
James'searly career began at Price Waterhouse LLP, where they worked as a Manager and gained experience in audits, management reporting, and SEC compliance for clients.
Throughout their career, Giallanza has demonstrated expertise in financial operations, regulatory compliance, and implementing new systems and processes.
James Giallanza earned a Bachelor's degree in Accounting and Finance from St. Francis College in 1990. James also holds a certification as a Certified Public Accountant from the state of New York.
