Alice Kim has extensive experience in the field of social work. Alice started their career in 2005 at the University of Southern California, School of Social Work, where they worked as a Project Specialist. In this role, they were responsible for various projects related to social work.
From 2005 to 2009, Alice worked at the University of Southern California, School of Social Work, as a Project Manager. In this position, they managed federally and non-federally-funded research projects focusing on child welfare, adoption, and the Los Angeles Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS). Alice also served as the liaison with key stakeholders.
In 2010, Alice joined the USC Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families as a Project Manager. Alice played a crucial role in managing deliverables for a $6.2 million grant project funded by the Department of Defense. Alice also led the conceptualization, development, and implementation of online training curricula for military-focused social work. Additionally, Alice represented the center externally in the absence of the director and served as a key resource for center and program information.
In 2012, Alice was promoted to the position of Director of Operations at the USC Center for Innovation and Research on Veterans & Military Families. In this role, they guided the growth of the center through strategic planning, new program development, budget management, and infrastructure and organizational systems development. Alice conceptualized and developed new areas of research, innovation, and interdisciplinary collaborations within the university and with external organizations. Alice also led the day-to-day operations of the center, including tracking timelines, deliverables, and resources, hiring and supervising staff, managing key research projects, and developing protocols for quality control.
In 2015, Alice joined the Cohen Veterans Network as the Chief Operating Officer. As COO, they play a crucial role in overseeing the operations of the organization, ensuring its smooth functioning and success.
Alice Kim's education history begins in 1994 when they enrolled at the University of Chicago and pursued a Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Sociology. Alice completed their undergraduate studies in 1998.
Following their undergraduate education, Alice Kim furthered their academic pursuits by attending the University of Chicago's School of Social Service Administration. From 2000 to 2002, they completed a Master of Arts (AM) degree in Social Work.
More recently, Alice Kim has been engaged in ongoing education at Stanford University Graduate School of Business since 2021. Alice is currently enrolled in a program titled "The Emerging COO: Driving Innovation and Operational Excellence."
