Balachandra Shanabhag

Balachandra Shanabhag currently serves as the Product Security Squad Lead at Cohesity, focusing on securing On-prem, SaaS (AWS), and GenAI applications, while leading initiatives in AppSec, Vulnerability Management, Threat Modeling, and Secure SDLC activities since January 2020. Prior experience includes a role as a Security Engineer within the Juniper CyberSecurity R&D team from December 2009 to January 2020, where contributions were made to the Juniper Secure Development Lifecycle (SDL). Balachandra also held the position of Certification Engineer, leading Federal Certification test activities for various Juniper products. Earlier experience includes a role as a software engineer at Freescale Semiconductor, developing production testing tools for 3G mobiles, and an internship at Hewlett-Packard Laboratories, working on a project to visualize SAN connections. Balachandra holds a CORe Credential of Readiness from Harvard Business School Online, a Cybersecurity Specialization from the University of Maryland, and a Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Science from RV College Of Engineering.
