Damien Sousa de Gouveia

Damien Sousa de Gouveia is an experienced professional in asset performance management, currently serving as the Asset Performance Management Lead at Cohesive since November 2022, following its acquisition of Vetasi Limited, where Damien held the same title since November 2018. Damien specializes in developing solutions that integrate IoT, monitoring, and predictive maintenance, utilizing machine learning, computer vision, and advanced analytics. Previous roles include a lead consultant in asset management and an engineering intern focused on creating decision support tools for feedlot operations at Manjoh Foods PTY Ltd. Additionally, experience includes engineering projects at Wispeco Aluminium, co-owning an educational platform called OnlyOdd, and serving as chairperson of SAIIE Tuks, which supports Industrial Engineering students at the University of Pretoria. Education comprises a BEng Hons and an Engineer’s Degree in Industrial Engineering from the University of Pretoria.
