Marilena Scicluna Farrugia

Marilena Scicluna Farrugia has a diverse work experience in various industries and roles. Marilena is currently working at CoinsPaid as the Chief Revenue Officer (CRO) since September 2023. Before that, they worked at CoinsPaid as the Head of Customer Success and Operations from November 2019 to September 2023. Prior to that, they were the Head Of Account Management & MLRO at VallettaPay from January 2019 to November 2019. Marilena also has experience as the Head Of Account Management at Goldfox Enterprises Limited from May 2018 to November 2018, and as a Key Account Manager at the same company from July 2017 to May 2018. Additionally, Marilena has worked as a Risk, Fraud and Payments Analyst at White Noise Gaming Limited from February 2017 to July 2017, and as a Risk and Fraud Analyst at LeoVegas from July 2016 to February 2017. Marilena has also held roles as an EU Fund Officer at Programme Implimentation from April 2014 to February 2016, and at Funds and Programmes Division from February 2013 to April 2014. Earlier in their career, they served as a Lead Agent responsible for Fraud at Gumtree - UK Based EBAY Company at World Aviation Group - Centrecom from July 2012 to June 2013, and as a Support Officer – STEPS at the Government of Malta from July 2011 to April 2012.

Marilena Scicluna Farrugia completed their education with a Master of Science degree in Counter Fraud and Counter Corruption Studies from the University of Portsmouth from 2013 to 2015. Marilena previously obtained a Bachelor of Honors degree in European Studies and Italian from the University of Malta from 2009 to 2012. Prior to that, they attended St Aloysius 6th Form from 2007 to 2009, where they completed their A-levels and Intermediates, focusing on arts.
