Héber Bibang has held a variety of roles since 2016. Héber began as a Peer Mentor at Mountain View College's Advising Center and a tutor at their Instructional Support Lab. In 2017, they became a TexPREP Professor's Assistant for Engineering, Research, Math, Writing-Reading, and Physics courses at Trinidad Garza Early College At Mt View. In 2018, they joined the Society of Petroleum Engineers - Texas Tech University Chapter as Internal Vice President, President Committee Head, and Membership Assistant Committee Head. In 2019, they became a Research Assistant at the Bob L. Herd Department of Petroleum Engineering, as well as an Engineering Diplomat at the Texas Tech Engineering Opportunities Center. In 2020, they took on a Student Supervisor role at the Texas Tech Library. Most recently, in 2021, they began working as a Mudlogger at Edge Systems, and in 2022 they became a Sonic/SmartPAD Field Engineer at Cold Bore Technology.
Héber Bibang has an extensive educational background. Héber began their studies in 2004 at Lycée National Léon Mba in Gabon-Libreville, where they earned their Brevet d'Études du Premier Cycle (BEPC) in STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics). From 2011 to 2013, they attended Lycée Privé de Nzeng-Ayong Fondation MBELE, also in Gabon-Libreville, and obtained their Baccalauréat (BAC) serie D / High School Scientific Honor Degree. In 2015, they moved to Dallas College Mountain View Campus, where they earned their Associate of Science - AS in Engineering. Afterward, they attended Guilford Technical Community College, where they earned their Associate's degree in Information Technology. In 2018, they were accepted as an Undergraduate Cooke Transfer Scholar at the Jack Kent Cooke Foundation and began studying Petroleum Engineering at Texas Tech University, where they are currently pursuing their Bachelor of Science - BS in Petroleum Engineering.
