Danny McLean has extensive work experience in the water industry. Danny started their career at Barwon Water in 1996 as an Engineer. Danny then moved to Central Highlands Water, where they served as a Process Operations Engineer/Manager from 1999 to 2002 and later as an Environment Manager from 2002 to 2006. Danny then joined Veolia Australia and New Zealand, initially as an Operations Manager in Bendigo from 2006 to 2011, and later as the Operations Manager in Victoria from 2011 to 2014. During their time at Veolia, they also worked as the Manager - Treatment Operations (Contract Manager) for a 10-year contract with Hunter Water Corporation. In 2014, they joined Coliban Water and held various positions such as Manager - Contracts from 2015 to 2017, Manager – Partnerships and Asset Systems from 2017 to 2019, and Acting Executive General Manager - Service and Infrastructure from February 2019 to October 2019. Danny then served as the Executive General Manager - Service Delivery from 2019 to 2022. Currently, Danny McLean holds the position of Chief Officer Assets and Operations at Coliban Water, where they are responsible for ensuring high-quality services and overseeing various operations and partnerships.
Danny McLean attended the Australian Institute of Company Directors in 2016, where they obtained a Graduate of Company Directors Course. Prior to that, from 1994 to 1997, they studied at Deakin University, earning a degree in Engineering with a focus on Environmental studies. Earlier in their education, they attended McAuley College, although specific details about their degree or field of study are unavailable.
