Mike Duran

Mike Duran is the executive chairman of Colibri Group. Mike’s vision for the company is simple: The business of helping people change their lives.

Mike encourages the company to create value for the customers and stakeholders through superior technology, products, and marketing. Mike served the company for ten years as CEO and led Colibri through the acquisition of 16 brands. Mike moved into the executive chairman role in 2021.

When Mike isn’t steering the company to success, he’s navigating other things, like electric road bikes through the hills of California. He also enjoys throwing barbecues or parties with family and friends.

Prior to Colibri Group, Mike was a founding partner of Alpine Investors. Mike headed one Alpine investment, in particular, McKissock Learning, from 2004 to 2010, it’s also the first brand in Colibri’s portfolio. Before Alpine Investors, Mike was a member of Toyota USA’s structured finance team.

Mike holds an MBA from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business.
