Justina Schlund

Justina Schlund has a diverse work experience in the education and communications field. Justina started their career as an Education Reporter for Gannett Newspapers and Sun-Times Media. Justina then joined Teach for America as a Corps Member, followed by a position as a Program Manager for Teach for China. Justina then worked as a Graduate School Policy Intern for the Massachusetts Executive Office of Education. Justina later joined Chicago Public Schools, where they served as a School Climate Specialist/Project Manager and then as the Executive Director of the Office of Social & Emotional Learning. Currently, Justina is working at the Collaborative for Academic, Social, and Emotional Learning, first as a Director of Field Learning, then as a Senior Director of Content & Field Learning, and currently serves as the Vice President of Communications.

Justina Schlund completed their B.S in Journalism and Sociology from Northwestern University in 2004. In 2011, they pursued further education at the Harvard Graduate School of Education, earning an Ed. M degree in Education Policy and Management. Prior to that, in 2009-2010, they obtained an Illinois Type 04 Teaching Certificate, although the details of the degree and field of study are not provided.
