Pete Casson has worked in the technology sector since 2002, beginning as a Junior IT Engineer at SeeTech Computing Ltd. In 2006, they joined McLaren Racing as a Software Engineer, where they developed a new bespoke service desk management system. In 2008, they moved to Resolve IT Solutions Ltd as Technical Director, where they increased sales from £200,000 to over £1m and led an award-winning team of 15 people. In 2015, they became Head of Platforms & Systems at IT Lab, where they integrated legacy and modern systems to provide autonomy and reduce admin. In 2016, they joined Autotask Corporation as Manager of Sales Engineering (International), where they managed teams in the UK, Germany, Amsterdam and Australia and closed the company's largest deal. In 2017, they became Chief Technology Officer at Twinkl Educational Publishing, where they developed the world's first Augmented Reality (AR) multiplayer for Education and pioneered AR for use in the classroom. In 2019, they co-founded Collctiv, the group payments company, where they are currently the Chief Technology Officer & Founder (Techstars NYC '22). Their responsibilities include defining how payments should be made from a group of people and leading technical development and business growth.
Pete Casson's education history includes a 1st Class BSc Hons in Software Engineering from Sheffield Hallam University between 2004 and 2008, and a Short MBA in International Business from Sheffield University Management School in 2016. Additionally, they have obtained certifications including the Growth Marketing Programme from Startup Core Strengths in 2021 and 2022, the Startup School from Y Combinator in 2019, the Apple Teacher certification from Apple in 2017, and the Apple Certified Engineer and Microsoft Certified Engineer - Windows certifications.
