John Neerland

John Neerland has over 18 years of experience in the advertising industry. John started their career as a Copywriter at OLSON in 2003 and worked there until 2005. John then joined Colle McVoy in 2005 as a Copywriter and stayed with the company until 2010. At Colle McVoy, they worked their way up to become an Associate Creative Director / Copywriter from 2010 to 2012, and then a Group Creative Director from 2012 to present. John was recently promoted to VP Group Creative Director in June 2021.

John Neerland attended Annunciation Catholic grade school from 1979 to 1988. Following this, they attended The Blake School from 1988 to 1992. John then pursued a Bachelor of Arts degree in English with a focus on Creative Writing at Kenyon College, graduating cum laude in 1996. During their time at Kenyon College, they spent a year studying English Literature at the University of Exeter from 1994 to 1995. Later, in 2000, John Neerland pursued a Master of Copywriting Sciences degree in Advertising at Brainco, completing it in 2002.
