Jason MacDonald

Jason MacDonald serves as the Director of the Office of the Registrar at the College of Physicians & Surgeons of Alberta since April 2021, overseeing daily operations of the Infection Prevention & Control program. In addition, MacDonald holds the position of Vice President Player Development at Whitemud West Hockey Club and serves as an Adjunct Instructor at Concordia University of Edmonton since May 2010. Previously, MacDonald worked with the Government of Alberta as Branch Director for Environmental Public Health during the COVID-19 response and as a Senior Environmental Public Health Consultant, focusing on public health policy and regulation. MacDonald also has experience as a Program Coordinator and Public Health Inspector with Alberta Health Services, emphasizing inspections in personal service and aquatic settings. Academic qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Public Health from Concordia University of Edmonton and a Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences and Chemistry from the University of Alberta.
