Said Saim

Said Saim has a diverse work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. Said currently holds the position of Senior Vice President and Chief Technology Officer at EyePoint Pharmaceuticals, where they provide strategic leadership and oversees the development and manufacturing activities. Prior to this, Said served as the Vice President and later as a Senior Director of Pharmaceutical Development at Collegium Pharmaceutical, managing the formulation development and technology transfer for various solid oral dosage forms. Before that, they worked at Boehringer Ingelheim as a Senior Principal Scientist, where they led a team in process development for solid oral dosage forms and ensured equipment and technology coordination across sites. Said began their career as an Assistant Research Professor at Higuchi Biosciences Center, where they conducted research on pharmaceutical processes and was later promoted from a post-doctoral candidate. Said also has experience as a Research Engineer at ABC Laboratories, where they led the development of automated sample processing instruments and conducted research on adsorption materials.

Said Saim pursued their education in Chemical Engineering from 1987 to 1990 at The University of Kansas, obtaining a Ph.D. degree.
