Amanda Hicks

Amanda Hicks, SHRM-CP, has a diverse work experience spanning over several years. Amanda began their career as an Event Coordinator Intern at the City of Newport News from May 2004 to December 2009. In February 2008, Amanda joined Goodman & Company in an Administration role, which they held until November 2009. Amanda then joined Collins Machine Works in February 2010, initially starting as a Personal Assistant and Bookkeeper. In February 2015, Amanda transitioned to the Human Resources department at Collins Machine Works, where they worked until January 2022 as a Human Resources professional. Amanda is currently the Human Resources Director at Collins Machine Works, a position they have held since January 2022.

Amanda Hicks, SHRM-CP, holds a Bachelor's degree in Spanish Language, Latin American Studies, Anthropology, and Archaeology from Flagler College, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Amanda also obtained a Graduate Certificate in Accounting Information Technology from Strayer University, completing the program from 2007 to 2009.
