Vanessa Khoo

Vanessa Khoo has a diverse work experience spanning several companies. Vanessa started their career at Qantas in 2001 as a Business Technology Consultant, where they managed large transformation projects and maintained strategic partnerships. Vanessa then joined Qantas as a Technology Manager from 2009 to 2012.

In 2013, they moved to Westpac, where they held the roles of IT Governance Manager and IT Program Manager. In these positions, they led the design and implementation of a control self-assessment program and developed the Agile Transformation roadmap for Group Technology.

In 2015, Vanessa joined Commonwealth Bank as an Executive Manager, overseeing strategy enablement and transformation. Vanessa also completed several secondments within the Wealth Management business, including the establishment of a Program Management Office and serving as the Engagement and Communications Manager for the Wealth Management IT Strategy Program.

Most recently, Vanessa joined Colonial First State in 2020, holding a variety of executive roles. Currently, they are the Executive Director of Supplier & Finance Operations, responsible for financial management and performance. Prior to this, they served as the Executive Director of Operational Strategy and the Executive Manager of the Office of the CTO.

Overall, Vanessa Khoo has held various leadership roles and has a strong background in strategy, transformation, program management, and governance across multiple industries.

Vanessa Khoo completed their Master of Business Administration (MBA) from AGSM @ UNSW Business School from 2012 to 2015. Previously, they obtained a Bachelor of Commerce (B.Com.) in Accounting and Information Systems from UNSW between 1998 and 2000. Additionally, they earned a Diploma of Project Management from the University of New England (AU) in 2007-2008.
