Amber Herrington

Amber Herrington has extensive work experience in the banking sector. Amber started their career at PlantersFIRST in 2006, working as an Executive Assistant/Marketing personnel until 2010. In the same year, Amber joined Colony Bank and held various positions throughout their time there. Amber started as a Mortgage Originator and eventually became a Branch Manager - Vice President/Lender, where they were responsible for managing the bank branch and achieving financial targets. In 2021, they were promoted to the role of VP/Business Banker, analyzing banking transactions and developing client relationships. Currently, Amber holds the position of Vice President Commercial Banking at Colony Bank, a role they started in July 2022.

Amber Herrington has a diverse education history. Amber started their academic journey at Cairo High School, where they completed their secondary education from 1996 to 1999.

In pursuit of further studies, Amber enrolled at Southwest Georgia Technical College from 1999 to 2001. During this time, they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Systems Networking and Telecommunications.

Continuing their educational pursuits, Amber attended Valdosta State University from 2000 to 2006. Here, they obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Marketing.

Amber further expanded their knowledge and skills by joining Georgia Southwestern State University from 2017 to 2018. During this period, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with a focus on Business Administration and Management.

To enhance their expertise in the field, Amber pursued a professional certification as a Cisco Certified Network Associate Industrial (CCNA I) from Cisco. The precise date of completion for this certification is not provided.

Currently, Amber is furthering their education at The University of Georgia, where they are expected to complete the GA Banking School program in Banking and Financial Support Services from 2021 to 2023.
