Alyssa Canter has a diverse work experience starting from 2010. Alyssa began as an Externship at the International Rescue Committee in 2010. Alyssa then had internships at the United States Senate and the Clinton Foundation in 2011 and 2012 respectively. In 2013, they worked as a Program Assistant at the Roosevelt Institute and also had a summer internship at The White House. From 2014 to 2015, they worked as a Project Consultant at Boston Consulting Group (BCG). Alyssa then joined KPMG as an Associate and later as a Senior Associate in their Advisory division from 2015 to 2018. At Oscar Health, they held various roles such as Senior Manager of Regulatory Affairs, Associate Director of Government Affairs, Director of Government Affairs, and Chief of Staff between 2018 and 2022. Currently, Alyssa is the Head of Communications & Policy at Color since 2022.

Alyssa Canter is currently pursuing a Doctor of Law - JD degree from Fordham University School of Law, with an expected completion date in 2024. From 2013 to 2015, they attended The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) where they earned a Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree in Public Policy and Economics. Prior to that, Alyssa obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and International Studies from Marymount Manhattan College.
