Phil Reed

Phil Reed has extensive experience in the healthcare industry, particularly in managing financial operations. Phil worked as the CFO at Colorado Access, a non-profit health maintenance organization, beginning in August 2005. Prior to that, they served as the Controller for the Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing for over 7 years, where they also managed the Procurement Office and Human Resources.

Phil Reed obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a major in Accounting from Colorado State University, where they studied from 1978 to 1984. Phil has also acquired various certifications in inclusive language at work, adding value through diversity, dealing with microaggression as an employee, being a good mentor, communicating about culturally sensitive issues, confronting racism with Robin DiAngelo, diversity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as unconscious bias. These certifications were obtained from LinkedIn, with the most recent certification being in June 2023.
