Patty Painter-Wakefield

Patty Painter-Wakefield is an experienced classical music host and producer currently working at Colorado Public Radio since December 2022. Prior to this, Patty served as Worship & Media Coordinator at First United Church of Arvada from May 2018 to December 2023, where responsibilities included overseeing AV technology, coordinating worship services, and managing faith formation activities. Previous roles included Operations Manager/Traffic Director and Operations Assistant at North Carolina Public Radio-WUNC, with accomplishments such as hosting and producing programs, creating automation scripts, and assisting underwriting compliance. Patty's early career involved hosting and producing at various public radio stations, and notable awards include the Gracie Allen Award for producing spots that celebrated North Carolina. Educational qualifications include a Master’s degree in Music History from the University of Oklahoma and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Wake Forest University.
