Tonya Buchan

Tonya Buchan is a seasoned educational professional with extensive experience in faculty development and instructional design. Currently serving as Senior Faculty Developer and Teaching Effectiveness Initiative Program Manager at Colorado State University since January 2012, Tonya collaborates with faculty to implement interactive teaching strategies in higher education. Additionally, as a part-time instructor at the College of Southern Nevada, Tonya develops and teaches online Cultural Anthropology courses. Previous roles include Instructional Technologist at Nevada State College, where consulting on engaging online course design and delivering professional development workshops were key responsibilities, and Adjunct Faculty at Grand Canyon University, facilitating graduate-level online classes. Tonya's earlier career includes work as a Workforce Development Consultant at NV Energy and a Technical Writer at CREW Technical Services/Eli Lilly. Tonya holds a Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Purdue University and a Bachelor’s degree in Social Science from the University of Northern Colorado.
