Ashley Weir

Ashley Weir has extensive experience in the field of Building Information Modeling (BIM) and information management. They currently hold the position of Head of BIM at Colt Data Centre Services, where they manage a team of 7 professionals and oversee various BIM-related functions. Prior to this, Ashley worked as a BIM Information Manager at Colt and was responsible for producing documentation, managing the Common Data Environment (CDE), and providing training and support. They also have experience as a BIM Coordinator at ISG plc, where they managed BIM processes for data center projects and implemented the BIM360 platform. Additionally, Ashley worked as a BIM Coordinator at both BAM Construct UK and Laing O'Rourke, where they played a key role in implementing BIM on projects, managing teams, and responding to project requirements. They started their professional career as a Trainee Quantity Surveyor at Trevor Waude & Company Ltd., gaining experience in measurement and bill production. Overall, Ashley has a strong background in BIM coordination, information management, and team management within the construction industry.

Ashley Weir attended Nottingham Trent University from 2008 to 2013 and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Quantity Surveying and Construction Commercial Management. Additionally, they obtained a BSc (Hons) degree in the same field of study from the same institution during the same years. Prior to attending university, Ashley Weir attended Lincoln College from 2006 to 2008, although the degree obtained from this institution is unspecified. In terms of additional certifications, Ashley Weir completed the "Using Power BI with Excel" course at LinkedIn in February 2022, and the "Power BI Essential Training" course at LinkedIn in July 2021.
