Gary has been serving on the board of Directors for the Colts since 2016. His involvement with the Colts began when his daughter Kara auditioned and was awarded a position to march euphonium with the Colts in the fall of 2010. He found a spot in the kitchen to volunteer and has already booked many hours on the cook truck over the years.
Gary works as an accountant and tax preparer for a family business in Milwaukee WI and Continues to volunteer for the Colts at camps and on tour. While his daughter “aged out” as Drum Major in 2015 she continues to work with the organization which keeps him involved as well.
Gary also enjoys playing trombone in the Waukesha Area Symphonic Band, and at times has the opportunity to play trombone with his daughter. Admittedly he knew nothing about Drum and Bugle Corps before 2010.
The experience and friendships developed through the involvement with the Colts is unbelievable and rewarding and he has an enthusiasm for the success of the organization though it’s teaching of music and leadership to the members who pass through year after year.
