Edward Esparza

Edward Esparza, Ph.D., serves as the Campus TRiO Director at Washington State University Vancouver since February 2024 and is a Senior Advisor for the Independent Colleges of Washington starting February 2023. Prior experience includes a role as Community College & Higher Education Leadership Consultant at Edwards Non Profit Associates from October 2019 to February 2023, where consulting focused on supporting underrepresented student populations and developing leadership and community engagement programs. Previously, Edward worked as a Policy Associate for the Washington State Board for Community and Technical Colleges from November 2012 to January 2020, providing strategic direction for various student services councils. At Central Washington University, from September 2005 to November 2012, Edward was the Lead Academic Advisor, assisting diverse student groups with academic planning and individual educational goals. Edward holds a Ph.D. in Community College and Higher Education Leadership from Oregon State University and has master's and bachelor's degrees from Seattle University and Washington State University, respectively.
