Max Kratcoski has held a variety of roles in the past few years. In 2021, they were the Data Operations Manager at Columbia Books & Information Services, where they directed two teams of offshore developers to produce products and websites utilizing the organization's extensive database of congressional, lobbyist, association/ non-profit, and federal/state grants data. Max also managed numerous projects with wide-ranging timelines and scopes, developed and implemented processes focusing on efficiency and ensuring quality of data capture, cleansing, storage, and retrieval, and utilized SQL skills to build out and maintain the organization's relational database and for the retrieval of data used in the creation of products. Additionally, they were the Editorial Manager for the Almanac of American Politics, overseeing the end-to-end production of the publication. In 2020, they were an Intern at Collective & Co. and a Research Assistant at the University of South Carolina Political Science Department, where they analyzed the impacts of government regime type on public policymaking, with a focus on environmental public policy and reviewed and summarized scholastic journal articles to present to lead researchers. In 2019, they were a Study Abroad Office Peer Advisor at the University of South Carolina, where they presented in classrooms and university-sponsored events about their personal study abroad experience in Havana, Cuba, and about the university's Peace Corps Prep program, and founded the Study Abroad Association which facilitated intercultural exchange between UofSC and international students.
Max Kratcoski attended Libertyville High School from 2014 to 2018. Max then went on to pursue a Bachelor's degree in International Studies and Economics at the University of South Carolina, which they completed in 2021. In 2019, they also took part in a non-degree seeking program at the University of Havana, focusing on Spanish Language and Literature.
